How-To Guide: PSP Palooza

"Teams work hard to meet PSP goals. Holding a PSP Palooza shows frontline workers and managers that their work is important."

— Annamarie Marin Senior unit-based team consultant (Northern California)

Performance Sharing Programs (PSP) empower partnership union-represented employees to make meaningful contributions to Kaiser Permanente’s success. They also enable workers to share in the organization’s performance gains by meeting or exceeding mutually agreed-upon goals.

Elevate a traditional unit-based team fair by hosting a PSP Palooza. These gatherings focus on team projects that align with PSP goals. Use PSP Palooza fairs to spread successful practices and share ideas to achieve PSP goals.

PSP Paloozas are important for:

  • providing opportunities for frontline workers and managers to see how teams are meeting PSP goals, showing support for colleagues, and inspiring work on improvement projects.
  • showcasing successful tests of change, performance improvement and modeling partnership behaviors.
  • rewarding and recognizing high-performing teams, interacting with team co-leads in a relaxed setting, and showing support for the goals of the Labor Management Partnership.
