Colorado finished 2011 with 42 high-performing unit-based teams, and the work done by all the region’s UBTs had a positive impact on its goal of improving service and the member experience. Teams also helped Colorado exceed its target goal for quality measures around control rates for hypertension and diabetes. The Colorado region also took care of the community outside the medical setting, with 13 percent of staff participating in paid time release programs to work in the community—five points above the region’s community benefit target. In 2012, teams will continue to focus on service and the member experience—and will continue to move along the Path to Performance toward high performance.
